Fascinated by birds of prey and owls I painted this Eurasian eagle-owl in watercolour.
The painting is based on a photo we took ourselves in France (Alsace) in a animal parc.
A few years ago I had the chance to assist in a bird of prey show in my hometown.
I helped with an eurasian owl, named MAYA, something I enjoyed very much!
I was amazed by the light weight of the bird and the very soft feathers.

“Chewie, you are my only hope!”, cries the little Porg in desperation to Chewbacca.
He’s on a trip in Belgium and maybe got addicted to chocolate? :-)
Do you want this print for a special person? I can change "Chewie" into the name of your friend.

Rusty owl
This Western screech owl (Megascops kennicottii) was photographed with a lot of patience by Matthew Studebaker. With his approval and a lot of patience too I painted this rusty handsome owl in watercolor. We can't find this owl in Europe.

Long-tailed tits in trouble
CONCEPT Long tailed tits are small adorable little birds often seen in flocks of 20 birds. Did you know that they are also winged architects? Lichen is among their favourite organic construction material. But, air pollution declines the growth of lichen. A shortage on lichen means the long-tailed tits won’t be able to make strong nests anymore. The eggs wil be fragile and visible for predators!
