Collage sculptures
"You work with fragments and collages. This fragmentation as a response or counterpart to the fragmentation and rapidity of our society, world and daily life. These fragments are like a jigsaw puzzle combined into a new form.
These images are responses, thoughts, they are a process of searching and demand time, slowness and reflection. These important factors come to the surface by subtle shifts, elements being binded, folded, drawn on and painted. Your collages that were once a basis for your paintings are evolved to stand-alone mobiles, collage-sculptures and spatial paintings..."

Fragmented world
"...As a viewer you become silent and astonished by your working process and the final images.
I can get lost into your works and take my time. You have gone through a very personal and intense path wherein you developed a very own method."
Letter from Eva De Leener and Stijn Van Dorpe, Artists, Royal Academy of Arts Oudenaarde, Belgium to Evivanca, painter of these fragmented worlds.

Towers
"...We find more tragedy in the work of Evivanca. We see collages and paintings of a fragmented world, artwork that especially for me, shows beauty. Therefore we must go back to the working process that plays an important role in Evivanca's work. She cuts copies of existing images into pieces, images that she is fascinated by. Afterwards she puzzles them into a new whole..."

Worldview in progress
"...These works have a certain autonomy, but sometimes they serve as a base for the construction of a new painting. These paintings are painted with utmost care and precision. The movement that becomes visible is one of deconstructing, cutting up, breaking up existing worlds to put them with care into a new more beautiful? constellation.
The quality in this works lies for me in that movement. By the unmistakable presence of this process a time dimension becomes visible, a time dimension in which materials (paint, paper) are being handled with care."

Fragmented world
"...We feel slowness, concentration. We get a look into the performing artist. By doing this Evivanca seems for me, wanting to put the time still, hoping in this silence of reconstructing, beauty will overcome."
